A new video debuting here today demonstrates how every fall brings a new beginning at Oregon’s public schools.
The video was filmed at the opening days at schools in Umatilla, Philomath, Tigard-Tualatin and Bandon. It captures the excitement of a new year of learning by showing students preparing for class, walking to school, opening lockers and meeting friends.
The effort is the first in a series of 2015-16 videos that will challenge the public to “dream bigger” about K-14 education, especially in forward-looking programs such as STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), the arts, and career and technical education (CTE).
The next video – a greatly expanded version of the video debuting here today – will first be aired at OSBA’s Annual Convention on Nov. 13. It will be followed by four videos highlighting individual school programs in early 2016.
